This transformer steps voltage down from the three phase input to the 24 volts required to operate solenoid valves. Note, if the board is failing to power up, it is not likely because this transformer is out. The circuit board has its own internal power supply. These are often damaged due to power surges or incorrectly wired units (as when the transformer is wired for 208 volts and plugged into 480 volts).

This is the factory transformer, new old stock. It should match all mounting holes correctly, and has the factory fuse holders in place. Check part numbers carefully, a lot of different versions were used over the years and models. Also, slave and master columns often have different transformers.
